How to have a "green" wedding
A marriage may be an exercise ultimate abuse. We will spare no expense, or assault on the environment, ensuring that our marriage is perfect. Increasingly, we realize how our actions can affect the environment and more brides are looking for ways to have their perfect day, while demonstrating environmental and social consciousness. Here are some ways to your wedding green.
The Venue
The location is one of the easiest and most obvious ways to go green – is marry outside! This eliminates the need for electricity and allows you and your guests to enjoy the beauty of the natural. To make this comfortable for your guests, you should consider getting married during a time of year when the weather is comfortable. Whatever the time of year, nature is the perfect setting for a wedding. In spring, you have beautiful fresh flowers and fall, you have an array of oranges, red, brown and work with.
If the outside is not an option, choose a site that will benefit your event costs rent as a nature sanctuary, museum, art gallery or school.
The dress
Thank you to designers as Adele Wechsler even your wedding dress can be green! The dresses are made from organic hemp and silk materials and will be available in fall 2008. The Olivia Luca Design Studio, where you design your dress, also offers organic tissue.
Green dresses may not work for brides dream of a beautiful prom dress that great emphasis on simplicity in the green dress.
Restoration
There are several ways to be eco-conscious in this area. You can ask your caterer to use organic, local produce, free range / organic meats, local beer and wine Bio. You must also work with your caterer to avoid over-restoration, preparation significantly more food than is necessary. If you leftovers, you can donate to a local food bank, homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
You can also insist on the use washable napkins and avoid disposable cups, plates, etc.
Favors
Instead of traditional favors, make a donation on behalf of your invited to an eco-charity. You can also provide benefits that are relevant to the environment, such as trees planted with in honor of your guest, notes written on paper or give plantable seedlings that your guests can plant in their garden.
Flowers
Ask your florist about using flowers grown locally – they travel less, provide local jobs for your community and reach cooler. If you have a flower that is grown at the international level, insist on fair trade / organic flowers. A little-known secret in the industry flowers are flowers that are of such high-value crop they are often sprayed with dangerous, potentially carcinogenic, products chemicals to make them perfect. The conditions for workers in the international flower market are poor with many of them being exposed to hazardous chemicals, long hours of work extremely difficult.
If you're skipping the florist and make your own flowers, Organic Bouquet online wholesaler offering organic blooms.
Invitations & Stationery
You can skip invitations while opting for Avoid. However, most brides are unwilling to part with invitation paper and in this case, I recommend using recycled paper for your invitations and use soy or vegetable based ink for printing. There are companies such as Naturally Ever After offering 100% natural, recycled invitations and printers (Try Greener printer) that print in ink ecological.
You can also reduce unnecessary pregnant by posting directions and asking guests to RSVP on your wedding website or by telephone.
Programs are not a necessary component of marriage, but if you have them, opt for recycled paper and only provide one per couple instead of one per person. The same is true for the menu cards.
Instead accompanying maps, you can write or paint the names of your guests and assign seats on frosted votives. Or you could write / paint their names on ribbons attached to the organic flower stems. Another option is to have a large framed poster of the allocation of seats rather as individual cards.
Transport
Unfortunately, limousines hybrids are not yet available, but there are still few options for ecological wedding. The best option would be to choose a site that eliminates the need for transportation by having the ceremony and reception in one place. If this is not possible, choose the ceremony and reception sites are within walking distance of each other or travel in horse and buggy!
Jewelry
This is a class where everyone can participate. Popular culture has been inundated with information about the diamond industry lately. Films like "Blood Diamond" and artists such as Kanye West have made known the violent conditions in which diamonds are mined. Fortunately, you can avoid such diamonds in ensuring that the diamonds used in your wedding rings are without conflict. You can also ensure that the gold used in your rings are recycled.
