Egyptian Theme?
I finally want to decorate my room with Egypt. I have a website for furniture called Design Toscano. (Www.designtoscano.com) I also already see some things Egyptian. I also have a lamp and a great pyramid of Giza glass-topped table that I was at the Design Toscano. Does anyone know how I decorate my room? Should I make the walls look like limestone or do I it looks like inside a tomb? What colors should I use? I know that gold would be an obvious color, but what else? What should be like my bed? My floor? I loved ancient Egypt since I was in 6th and I'm 20 now. Can someone help me? =]
It sounds like it could be great. I like having a personalized room (I'm A-side wall full of Starry Night). Ok, so here what I would do: Painting: As tempting as it may be to paint textured stone or fake treatment, it can make the room seem too thematic. I would go with a color like Benjamin Moore (check my sources online to see colors, try Room 2) "Henderson Buff" for the walls, a darker color, for garnish "Cupcake", and if you're ready to paint the ceiling a shade like "Princeton Gold", which is linked Henderson Buff. Furniture: wicker and dark wood (think dark walnut). Bedding: I had a bright blue, turquoise, like a mask of Tutankhamun. You can also get a cast to give a trend. See the link below amazon.com. Extras: This is where you can go all OUT. Go for the gold statuettes, wall sculptures, etc. The reference site would tell you it has a great choice. Good luck to all!
